POST 8: English Language Challenges

As so many other things in my life I have mixed feelings about English as a subject, mainly because when I was in school “the English” was among my weakest points (and still is), but with the passing of the years, I feel that I have improved my English a lot. I could notice this when I had to write these blogs, because I was able to think some phrases in English in my head. I also feel that "having to write something weekly" helped me a lot to improve a little more.

The aspect of my English that I really need to improve is my speech. I get very shy when I have to speak in another language because I have a really strong Latin accent that makes me feel embarrassed. 

Outside of English class, when I use English it is mainly when I read. I love manga, manhwas and manhua, so when I read any of these types of comics I prefer to do it in English, for these three reasons. The first is, because for some reason I find it more comfortable to read in English than in Spanish. The second is because there is more content and variety in English than in Spanish, and the third is because it is an opportunity to practice reading and learn vocabulary with something that I enjoy.
